Edo is overdue for an International Airport, says EPIA

By Isaac Eranga,

Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), also known as Edo Indigenous Movement Worldwide says with the volume of resources coming from Edo indigenes in the diaspora, Edo is long overdue to have an international airport and seaport.

This was revealed to SOCIAL REPORTERS  NEWS SERVICE  in Benin City by the President and Founder of EPIA- Chief Bishop Omogiade Enoyiogiere Edokpolo. According to Chief Bishop Edokpolo, Edo Indigenous people will not rest until there's an international airport and an international seaport in Edo.

"Having an international airport and seaport in Edo, will go a long way in opening the ancient city of Edo to the globe, and it will help in creating unlimited jobs for Edo indigenes. It will also help in boosting Edo economy. Enough of us contributing to other states' GDP; it's our turn, it's not our fault.

"EPIA is using this medium to call on all Edo Indigenous people around the globe to join voices with EPIA's agitation for an airport and seaport. We have been marginalized by the federal government and taken for granted by Edo polical leaders. It's time to rise to change the status quo.

"The State of Edo today when it comes to culture, unity, empowerment programs, is declining by the day. I'm using this medium to call on members of EPIA not to relent in contributing to the betterment and upliftment of our society," said Chief Bishop Omogiade Edokpolo.
