Stop paying lip services to anti-corruption war, EDOCSO tells Buhari

Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSO) weekend, accused President Muhammadu Buhari of paying lip services to the fight against corruption for earlier embarking on medical touring abroad.

Coordinator General of the group, Comrade Omobude Agho gave the charge in Benin City while marking  the World Anti-Corruption Day with the theme "United Against Corruption".

He said there is nothing worse than those who claimed to be fighting corruption and are not living by examples adding that for the war against corruption to be worn, those who preach against corruption must live by examples.

"In a case where the president of the country still go to abroad for Medicare, that is corruption itself. In a case where we have seen the president commissioning more than three world class hospitals and yet he does not believe in the process, a situation where a commissioner for education or minister of education children school abroad, he does not have
Agho said Nigerians have lost confidence in the administration's fight against corruption as they experience new set of looters of the nation's treasury.

"We do not have confidence in this administration in the way they are fighting this corruption if they were sincere, by now, we would have seen results.

"I do not see any changes all I always see is that those that used to steal the money are not the ones now stealing the money.
