Obaseki presents Stipends to Libya Returnees

Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki today paid stipends to Libya returnees to fast track their reintegration into society.

The disbursement took place at Idia College Hall, Benin City.

The stipend is part of the state government's package to reintegrate returnees into society and is accompanied with capacity building workshops.

Recall that the state has been facilitating the reintegration of its indigenes who had been trapped in slavery in Libya after a CNN report revealed the trade in migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean sea.
