Edo Referees felicitate with NFF Referees Appointment and Development Committee boss on her birthday

WANEP trains stakeholders on conflict prevention and violent extremism

The workshop was part of the Research and Action for Peace Network (REcAP Network) Project. The REcAP network project is being implemented in Nigeria by the West Africa Network of Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria. Speaking, the National Network Coordinator of WANEP Nigeria- Dr. Bridget Osakwe said the workshop was meant to build the capacity of civil society actors, women and youth groups on conflict prevention,  violent extremism, crisis management and peacebuilding. Elders of Obayantor community in Edo seek Govt intervention over alleged involvement of non-Indigenes in crime related activities

By Isaac Eranga Ahead of Edo State Governorship election scheduled for 21st September, 2024, the Odionwere and Elders of Obayantor 1 has called on the Inspector General of Police, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki to come to their rescue over alleged criminal activities being perpetrated by non Indigene that poses security threats to the peaceful existence of the community. This was made known in a Press Release signed by the Odionwere, Pa. Daniel Iyamu Emopkae and Elder Godwin Aghimien and made available to journalists in Benin City while calling on perpetrators to vacate the community. According to the press statement, the group who were identified as non indigenes have continued to threaten the peace of the community despite the presence of vigilantes in the area. Mentoring young women for Peacebuilding in Nigeria: WANEP hold 2-day National Youth Forum

In a bid to promoting intergenerational peacebuilding activities in Nigeria through mentorship of young women, the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP)- Nigeria recently organised 2-day national youth forum on intergenerational peacebuilding. The forum which had as its theme: Mentoring the Next Generation of Women Peacebuilders, was in collaboration with Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) and Global Affairs Canada. EPIA calls for equal distribution of NDDC projects in Edo State

Edo Indigenous Movement Worldwide, have called on the candidates of various political parties to include in their manifestos the establishment of Edo Indigenous Commission or Ministry of Edo Indigenous Affairs in order to gain Edo indigenes support worldwide.
