ICCOBA 96 Set hold monthly meeting tomorrow Sunday 27th April, 2025

The monthly meeting of Immaculate Conception College Old Boys Association, Class of 96 for the month of April 2025, comes up tomorrow at No. 20 Second Erediawa street, off  Erediawa Road, off Sapele road, Benin City. The time is slated 3pm. This was revealed to Social Reporters News Service in Benin by the Association's Public Relations Officer (PRO)- Mr. Idin Alexander. According to Mr. Alexander, Second Erediawa street is the 5th Street on the right side of Erediawa road when coming through Sapele Road.  The PRO called on all members to be present as there will be lecture on Health Insurance by officials of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). Stakeholders have affirmed the importance of an effective cost prediction being part of the holistic strategies for school safety and security plan just as they said it is critical to ensure that all learners, staff members and school property, including buildings and equipment, as well as school communities are protected from human-induced and natural hazards. By Isaac Eranga  Fungal infections in couples, particularly vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis), can be transmitted during sex, though they are not considered sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the traditional sense. While the risk of transmission during sex is not high, it's a possibility, especially if one partner has a yeast infection. Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has predicted the collapse of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, as more of its members continue to dump it for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Governor Okpebholo said this in his office while receiving the member representing Ikpoba Okha State Constituency, Nicholas Asonsere, who dumped the PDP for the APC. With the decamping of Hon. Asonsere, the ruling APC now controls the majority in the Edo State House of Assembly EDHA with 15 members, while the opposition has nine members. A former Contract Staff with an old generation bank in Nigeria- Osarugue Flora Aiworo has described as demeaning the none sharing of profits by banks management with support Staffers. She said support staffers are mainly the ones that goes out to bring in accounts and unfortunately, the accounts go directly to another person.  Hear her: "I started speaking up about profit sharing with support staff in all our meetings. Threat of violence in Edo State: Edo Progressive Indigenous Association give warning notice

The Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), also known as Edo  Indigenous Movement, has given a warning notice to all those threatening violence and violence perpetrators in Edo State, saying Edo indigenous people will no longer accommodate their violent and criminal acts. This was contained in a press statement signed by EPIA's Security Committee. The statement posited that for decades, the people of Edo State have lived peacefully alongside their Hausa neighbours, engaging in mutually beneficial cultural and economic exchanges. He however said, the recent escalation of violence perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in Edo communities has reached an intolerable level. Tribunal victory: Benin residents sing songs of victory for Gov. Okpebholo and his Deputy

Benin City, the Edo State capital, on Thursday, stood still with residents singing songs of victory for Governor Monday Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, who arrived the State from Abuja after the election petition tribunal affirmed them as the duly-elected Governor and Deputy Governor respectively in the September 21, 2024 governorship election. Safe School Declaration bill: stakeholders urge Lagos lawmakers to expedite action

They expressed concerns over the slow pace of responses by state legislators in the country to legislate on the SSD bills presented before them by various stakeholders, Non-Governmental Organisations and individuals since 2018 when the federal government adopted the Safe Schools Declaration policy.
