2 Killed and 12 Injured in Syria Church Rocket Strike

Video footage shows the rocket attack on the Greek Orthodox Hagia Sophia Church in Al-Suqaylabiyah .  07/25/2022 Syria (International Christian Concern) —At the crowded inauguration ceremony of a church in Syria yesterday, a rocket attack killed two people and injured 12.  Video footage  of the rocket attack shows a large explosion directly in front of the Greek Orthodox Hagia Sophia Church in Al-Suqaylabiyah, near the city of Hama. In addition to the civilian victims of the bombing, the church sustained damage as a result of the attack. Syrian state media attributed the bombing to unspecified “terrorist organizations.”  Jeff King, President of ICC, said,  “We are saddened by the news of Sunday’s attack against Christians in Syria. Peter Obi draws out plan to tackle Nigeria's security problem when elected President of Nigeria

  The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said his solution to the security crisis in the country would be ‘’definite and immediate’’ if elected in the 2023 elections. According to him, the states would be in charge of their security under his administration. Speaking while featuring on the Channels TV programme, ‘Politics Today,’ on Monday, the LP flagbearer called on the Federal Government to do more in terms of security. Cervical cancer eradication in Oyo: NUUCCE launches cancer screening

----Every 2 minutes a woman dies of cervical cancer By Isaac Eranga Ibadan: In a bid to eradicating cervical cancer in Oyo State, Nigeria, University of New Mexico, University of Baltimore, Project Echo and Center for Bioethics and Research (NUUCCE), has launched a training in cancer screening for 100 health workers in Oyo State. The training is aimed at building  capacity in the Oyo State health care system to screen and prevent cervical cancer by implementing cutting edge, evidence based theoretical and practical training. In the course of the training, partipants will be trained via a blend of didactic presentations and hands on sessions for a period of 12 months. Speaking, a Professor of Epidemiology, University of Maryland, Baltimore- Clement Adebamowo said the training lays a foundation for the elimination of cervical cancer in Oyo State.
