Dom Phillips, an experienced reporter, was accompanied by Bruno Pereira, one of the greatest experts in the Amazon region, where both went  missing without a trace  on Sunday, June 5.  After a couple of phone calls that mostly rejected the hypothesis of an accident, a friend of mine told me that some local residents had conducted a painstaking search in the surroundings. Cervical cancer eradication in Oyo: NUUCCE launches cancer screening

----Every 2 minutes a woman dies of cervical cancer By Isaac Eranga Ibadan: In a bid to eradicating cervical cancer in Oyo State, Nigeria, University of New Mexico, University of Baltimore, Project Echo and Center for Bioethics and Research (NUUCCE), has launched a training in cancer screening for 100 health workers in Oyo State. The training is aimed at building  capacity in the Oyo State health care system to screen and prevent cervical cancer by implementing cutting edge, evidence based theoretical and practical training. In the course of the training, partipants will be trained via a blend of didactic presentations and hands on sessions for a period of 12 months. Speaking, a Professor of Epidemiology, University of Maryland, Baltimore- Clement Adebamowo said the training lays a foundation for the elimination of cervical cancer in Oyo State. 2023 General Elections: Group calls on Women to synergize

 Benin City: The Executive Director of Global Women for Quality and Sustainable Development Initiative - Miriam Kadiri-Ezelome has emphasized on the need for women to synergize in order to have a noticeable position in the society.  Mrs Kadiri-Ezelome said this during a one day capacity building training for women in leadership on mitigating gender based violence in Edo State. She encouraged women to create a good play ground with community leaders and with the people especially women, saying studies reveal that Women votes more during election.
