Curbing insecurity in Edo State: EPIA engaged the Nigeria Police

 SOCIAL REPORTERS NEWS SERVICE: REPORTING NEWS FROM SOURCE In a bid to curbing criminality and insecurity insecurity in Edo State, the Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA) also known as Edo Indigenous Movement (EIM), worldwide, has called on the Nigeria Police to put a stop to the incessant kidnapping and activities of banditry ravaging Edo State, saying the people of Edo has extremely been pushed to the wall and that if nothing is being done, the people would resort to self defense.

This according to them, is due to slow rate of degradation of most marine litter items, which is mainly plastics, other biodegradables growing quantity of the litter and debris disposed in our waters and if not properly checked, will became a disaster for Nigeria in particular and the continent in general. EPIA appoints Festus Mayaki as Acting Vice President, Edo North

EPIA partners Edo State Govt over Health Insurance coverage

Manufacturer of guns napped by Edo Police

By Isaac Eranga Benin City: Benedict Dogo, 68, from Ekperi community of Etsako Central local government area of Edo State has been arrested by men of Edo State Police command for manufacturing a locally made gun allegedly sold to suspected criminals two of which, were also in Police custody.  Benedict Dogo was among the criminal suspects paraded recently by the newly appointed Edo Commissioner of Police - Phillip Aliyu Ogbadu who was just three weeks old as Edo CP.  Benedict Dogo when interrogated,  claimed that he was a member of the hunters' association, that he used to produce guns for the hunters' in the community. He said he was approached by one Joseph Otuya to "produce guns for his friends who are also hunters", not knowing they were not hunters.  Speaking, one of the suspects, Isah Joseph said one of his friends "wanted to buy gun, he directed him to Joseph Otuya, who in turn took him to Dogo".
