Football development: Ikpoba-Okha seeks support of Edo Refs

By Isaac Eranga Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Council has called for the partnership of Edo State Football Referees Council as part of measures in developing football in the local government area. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Edo referees at the council secretariat in Idogbo, the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Eric Osayande, who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinowanhia called for the synergy between the Edo Referees Council and the Local Government Council in order to ensure development of the sport in the locality. "We are having a football competition coming up from May 6th, 2019 and at such, need the support of Edo Referees in terms of standard officiating", he said. Urine test can provide accurate point-of-care results about PrEP adherence

http://www.aidsmap.com/page/ 3467945/ Michael Carter Published:  19 March 2019 A point-of-care urine test can accurately determine if a person is adherent to tenofovir-based pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), according to research presented to the recent  Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI 2019)  in Seattle. The test checks for antibodies to tenofovir and was tested in a trial of 30 people in Thailand who had different levels of adherence to tenofovir/emtricitabine PrEP. A minimum cut-off value showing if a person had taken PrEP within the past 24 hours was determined. The accuracy of the urine test compared well to gold-standard assays. A commercial point-of-care test has now been developed. The strip test provides results within five minutes and costs below $2. Police arrest Fulani man with human skull, 17 others in Oyo

dailypost.ng Men of the Oyo State Police Command Wednesday said that they have arrested a 30-year old Fulani man, Musa Ahmed, with human skull in Ogbomoso area of the state. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shina Olukolu, while parading the suspect told journalists that another seventeen suspects were arrested for various offences. DAILY POST gathered that Ahmed was intercepted by men of Igbeti Area Command led by ASP Tajudeen Toys during stop and search, and when searched, a human skull was found in a bag, which belonged to the suspect and another passenger who is at large.
